An established leader in the Agrochemical market has an exciting challenge for a suitably qualified and experienced Regional Manager.
The incumbent will take on responsibility for the Eastern Cape region, holding a base around the George area. Reporting to the national Director: Sales, duties will include:
Managing a team of 10 sales agents (with potential for increase);
Growing the existing client base and meeting forecast and budget objectives;
Providing influence and input into new product development for the market;
Responsible for maintaining acceptable pricing and margins;
Forecasting and maintaining accurate stock levels;
Maintaining acceptable debtor’s days;
Completing annual sales budgets and tracking sales performance.
A BSc degree in Agriculture or Natural Sciences;
At least 5 years of commercial experience in agrochemical sales;
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with fluency in both English and Afrikaans;
Strong computer skills and numerical literacy;
Proven leadership ability with excellent planning and organizing ability;
Highly energized and able to work in a pressured environment ;
Experience in negotiation and influencing with a strong customer service focus.
A competitive basic salary plus vehicle allowance will be offered, depending on experience/ qualifications.
